Lady Panthers face Lindenwood in GLVC semifinals
The number one ranked and the top seed in the Great Lakes Valley Conference tournament, the Drury Lady Panthers, take on Lindenwood in the GLVC semifinals on Saturday at 2:30 pm in First Community Arena in Edwardsville, Illinois.
 
Drury is 30-0 and went 20-0 in the GLVC regular season marking their second-straight undefeated season in the league. Lindenwood is the fifth seed, is 19-8 and went 14-6 in the conference.
 
The Lady Panthers defeated Lindenwood earlier this season 98-84 on Jan. 11 at the O'Reilly Family Event Center. The 84 points scored by the Lions are the most scored by a Drury opponent this season.
 
The winner of Saturday's game will advance to the GLVC Championship game and play the winner of seventh-seeded Bellarmine and number three Lewis. The title game is scheduled for Sunday at 1 pm.
 
Lady Panthers in the GLVC Tournament
The Drury Lady Panthers have won six GLVC championships, including the last three. Drury has won the league's tournament in 2019, 2018, 2017, 2015, 2010, and 2008. Under head coach Molly Miller, the Lady Panthers are 14-1 with four championships in the conference postseason. 
 
In their history, Drury has gone 25-8 in the GLVC Tournament. They are 10-4 in the league quarterfinals and have not in that round since 2014. The Lady Panthers are 8-1 in the semifinals, and 6-2 in the championship game. 
 
Thirty wins again
In Thursday's win over Maryville, the Lady Panthers won their 30th game of the season, marking the fourth consecutive 30-win season for Drury. The Lady Panthers went 30-4 in 2016-17, 31-3 in 2017-18, and 35-1 last year. This year was Drury's sixth 30-win season in their 19-year team history.
 
More milestones
--Daejah Bernard became the first Drury player in history to top 600 career assists on Thursday and carries 601 into Saturday's semifinal round.
--Bernard is also five steals away from becoming the third player in team history to surpass 400 in her career while Hailey Diestelkamp is seven steals away from that mark...Lauren Holmes became the only sixth player in team history to reach 200 steals and has 206 entering Saturday's game.
--Bernard also became the 12th player ever at Drury to pass 500 career rebounds and has 503 after Thursday's game.
--Hailey Diesetlkamp is 25 points away from 2,300 in her career.
 
Single Season Stuff
--Hailey Diestelkamp has 646 points heading into Saturday's game, second-most in a Drury single season. She is 112 points away from breaking her own record set last year.
--Daejah Bernard's 168 assists rank second at Drury in a single season, 43 behind her record of 211 she had last season.
-- Paige Robinson carries 69 three-pointers into Saturday's game and is one away from cracking the top 10 in a single season.
 
Diestelkamp's drive to the finish
Drury senior Hailey Diestelkamp is adding to her storied career with a stretch drive for the ages in the final two months of the season. The Owensville, Missouri, native has set Drury's single-game scoring record twice with 43 points at William Jewell on Feb. 15, then she topped that mark on Senior Day with 53, a total that also set a GLVC single-game scoring record.
 
Since Jan. 30, Diestelkamp is averaging 27.9 points in 12 games and is shooting .585 from the field (127 for 227), and she's averaging 8.3 rebounds, and 3.3 steals during this stretch.
 
Getting offensive
Drury has topped 90 points 18 times this season and has surpassed 100 points in a game seven times. Their 18 90-plus scoring games are five more than they had last year.
