Panthers resume schedule on Sunday vs Maryville
The Drury Panthers return to the floor on Sunday when they host Maryville for a 3:15 pm game at the O'Reilly Family Event Center.

Drury is 1-1 after not being able to open the season until Dec. 18. The Panthers lost their opener to Missouri S&T 96-89 but bounced back less than 48 hours later to win at Lindenwood, 90-84.

Maryville is 3-2 and returned to action on Thursday with a 90-83 win over seventh-ranked Truman State in St. Louis. The Saints are under new head coach Jesse Shaw, who took over the program after four seasons as an assistant coach at Missouri-St. Louis.

Drury senior Conley Garrison is the reigning GLVC Player of the Week after averaging 25.5 points, 7.5 assists, and 1.5 steals in two games during the week of Dec. 13-20. The Bolivar native has surpassed 1,400 career points and needs just 15 more to pass Marc Ridlen (1980-84) for 19th place on the program's all-time scoring list.

The Panthers have won 19 of their 20 against Maryville all-time. Drury's only loss to the Saints came on Feb. 9, 2012, in a 73-55 loss in St. Louis. The Panthers won both meetings against Maryville last year and 13 straight against the Saints.

After Sunday's game, Drury hosts McKendree on Wednesday for a 7:45 pm game at the O'Reilly Family Event Center.
