SPRINGFIELD, Mo.– Drury wrestlers
Peter Kuster and
Jared Rennick won both of their matches, but the Panthers fell in a pair of duals as 24
th ranked Maryville defeated DU 29-9, and Lindenwood, ranked fourth in NCAA-II, won 36-8 on Sunday at the O'Reilly Family Event Center.
The Panthers won three match-ups with the Saints and got on the board with
Peter Kuster's win at 141 pounds. Kuster, ranked seventh nationally in his weight class, defeated Taylor Jockerst 6-2.
Ben Stahlman shutout Michael Peters in the 157-pound match-up 5-0, and
Jared Rennick, the fourth-ranked heavyweight in NCAA-II, outlasted Logan Radik 5-3 in the 285-pound division.
Drury won a pair of rounds against fourth-ranked Lindenwood. Kuster won by technical fall over Kalen Napier 20-5, and Rennick hung on to win his second match of the day with a 4-1 win over Tage McNutt.
The Panthers have next weekend off, then return to action on Feb. 7 with GLVC Duals at McKendree as Drury will take on the sixth-ranked Bearcats and Davenport (Mich.).
