Round Two of Highway 13 Catfight shifts to O'Reilly Family Event Center
Round two of the Highway 13 Catfight shifts to the O'Reilly Family Event Center on Tuesday as the Drury Panthers host Southwest Baptist for a 6:05 pm game. Once again, by rule in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, spectators are not allowed to attend.
Â
Tuesday's game was originally scheduled for Dec. 3 but was postponed due to positive cases of the COVID-19 virus on Southwest Baptist's roster. It is the third of five games Drury has rescheduled this season.
Â
Drury is 5-4 and in second place in the GLVC-West. The Panthers' last game was at Southwest Baptist last Thursday, and DU fell to the Bearcats 75-63.
Â
Southwest Baptist leads the West Division with a 9-2 record, and they have won three straight. Following their 12-point win over the Panthers last Thursday, SBU picked up an 88-61 win at home over Missouri S&T.
Â
Drury leads the all-time against Southwest Baptist 40-20. The two teams split the two meetings last season with home-court holding in both contests. The Panthers won 76-70 at home, while SBU won the game in Bolivar 82-74.
Â
Thursday's game is the first of two meetings between the teams this year. Drury's next game is also against SBU as they take on the Bearcats next Tuesday for a 6:05 pm game at the O'Reilly Family Event Center.
