SPRINGFIELD, Mo.—
Beau Browning from the Drury bass fishing team finished in second place among 41 boats at the Arkansas Collegiate Series event at Greers Ferry Lake near Heber Springs, Arkansas.
Browning, a sophomore from Hot Springs, Arkansas, caught is limit of five fish and a total of 12.18 pounds in the single-day tournament. He was just 0.02 pounds from matching the winning total as Parker McMahan, and Ethan McMahan from Arkansas Tech won with five fish and 12.20 pounds.
Drury's boat with
Clay Henderson and Zach Wald came in eighth with 8.45 pounds at the event.
The Panthers compete again in the next Arkansas Collegiate Series tour stop, Nov. 13 on Bull Shoals Lakes near Mountain Home, Ark.
