Beau Browning earns second at Bull Shoals

MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark.— Drury University's Beau Browning finished second and was only 0.09 ounces away from first at the Arkansas Collegiate Series bass finishing event at Bull Shoals Lake near Mountain Home, Arkansas last weekend.
 
Browning, a sophomore from Hot Springs, Arkansas, caught his limit of five fish on each day of the two-day event landing a total of 30.85 pounds. He narrowly missed Arkansas Tech's winning duo, who landed 30.94 pounds. Browning brought in the second-biggest fish in Saturday's second round, with one weighing in at 4.03 pounds.
 
Drury's Clay Henderson and Zach Wald came in 16th place with 10 fish and 20.64 pounds.
 
Last weekend's tournament was the final event scheduled for Drury in the fall semester. Their next scheduled tournament for the Panthers is March 12-13 at the ACA Collegiate Bass Fishing Series on Kentucky Lake near Paris, Tennessee.
