Lady Panthers host Harris-Stowe St. for Hiland Dairy Kids Day
The Drury Lady Panthers host Harris-Stowe State on Thursday at 11 am for Hiland Dairy Kids Day.

Drury is 10-1 and ranked third in this week's NCAA-II coaches' poll. The Lady Panthers have won six straight and are coming off of a 73-44 win over Rockhurst last Saturday.

Harris-Stowe State is 2-5 entering Thursday's game. The Hornets played at Southeast Missouri State on Dec. 5 in an exhibition game and lost 95-57. Their previous regular season game was a 66-55 loss to Missouri Baptist on Saturday.

Thursday's game is the first meeting ever between the two programs.

About the Hornets
Harris-Stowe is an NAIA program in the American Midwest Conference. Their two wins this season came in their first two games and against the same opponent. The Hornets started the year with a 65-64 win at home over Lincoln (Ill.), followed by a 67-53 victory at Lincoln (Ill.).

Harris-Stowe played a GLVC opponent on Nov. 23 in a 72-56 loss at Maryville.

Deyana Dodd leads the team in scoring averaging 10.3 points, while Surina Finnie is putting up 9.7 points per game.

Robinson is the GLVC Player of the Week...again
Senior Paige Robinson won the GLVC's Player of the Week award for the second straight week. The senior from Bethany, Illinois, averaged 25.5 points, eight rebounds, four steals, and 3.5 assists in Drury's two wins last week. She also went a combined 19 for 20 at the free throw line. Robinson started the week with a season-high 32-point performance at Missouri S&T on Nov. 29, then followed with 19 points, eight rebounds, and six steals against Rockhurst last Saturday. She also won Player of the Week honors for the week of Nov. 22-28 and this week marked the sixth time in her career she has won the award.

Up Next
Drury is idle until Dec. 18 when they host 24th ranked Michigan Tech at 5:30 pm in the O'Reilly Family Event Center. Final exams are administered on the Drury campus next week, leading to a break in Drury's playing schedule.

Drury's Dec. 18 game is their final contest before going into the NCAA mandated "Life-In-Balance" break, a seven-day lay-off with no team activities. Following that pause in the schedule, the Lady Panthers return to action with conference play and a home game against William Jewell on Sunday, Jan. 2.
