SPRINGFIELD, Mo.- For the third time in five games, the Drury Panthers won via run-rule as they defeated Upper Iowa 14-5 on Sunday to wrap up the Drury Invitational tournament at Thompson Field in Springfield.

The Panthers finished their opening weekend 3-2 while Upper Iowa headed north with a 3-6 record.

Drury scored three runs in the first inning but fell behind 5-3 going into the bottom of the third. The Panther bats then rallied with a six-run frame highlighted by a three-RBI triple by
Abby Tiemann.

Drury scored three more in the fifth as
Hannah Chambliss drove in two runs with a double. The Panthers ended the game an inning later as freshman
Rylee Kolb slammed a two-run home run.

Chambliss finished the game 3 for 4 with three runs and three RBI's, while Tiemann drove in three runs from the lead-off position going 2 for 4 with a double and a triple.

The Panthers are back on the field on Thursday when they host Missouri Western State in a doubleheader starting at 2 pm at Thompson Field.
