Drury plays Saturday in NCAA-II tournament
The Drury Lady Panthers are in the NCAA-II tournament and will play on Saturday at 7:45 pm against the winner of Friday's Truman State vs. Northwood game.

Drury's O'Reilly Family Event Center was selected as the Midwest Regional Tournament host for the third consecutive year.

Drury is ranked second in the nation and is seeded second in the Midwest Region with a 20-1 record after winning the Great Lakes Valley Conference championship with a 76-60 win over Truman State on Sunday. The Lady Panthers enter the national tournament with 10 straight wins.

Truman State is seeded third and is 16-4, while Northwood is 11-8 and the sixth seed. The Bulldogs finished in second place overall in the GLVC and reached the conference tournament finals falling to the Lady Panthers on Sunday. Truman State is playing in their fifth NCAA-II tournament in program history, and it is their second appearance in three years. Northwood is 11-8, and the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference member is making their first national tournament since 2009.

On Friday, the other first-round game features fourth-seeded Grand Valley State (14-5) against the number five seed, Ashland (14-8). The winner of that game will face the number one seed in the region, Michigan Tech (20-1), on Saturday at 5 pm.

Lady Panthers NCAA-II tournament history
The Drury Lady Panthers are in the NCAA-II tournament for the 18th time in their 21 seasons. Drury qualified for the event last year, but the tournament was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Lady Panthers are 30-16 all-time in the national event with four regional championships, one national semifinal appearance, and one national Runner-Up finish (2004). Drury is 13-3 all-time in the opening round (a round they are receiving a bye for this year). The Lady Panthers are 10-3 in the tournament's second round.

Drury has advanced to the third round of nationals in four straight tournaments and is 10-3 in the NCAA-II championship since 2016.

GLVC Five-Peat
The Lady Panthers won their fifth straight GLVC championship on Sunday with a 76-60 win over Truman State. No team in GLVC history had won more than three titles in a row when Drury accomplished that feat in 2019, and now they have added two more championships to the streak.

Drury's fifth championship in a row also came with a new head coach as Amy Eagan continued the run after Molly Miller guided the team to the previous four titles.

This year's title was Drury's eighth GLVC championship and their 10th conference title, overall counting two in the Heartland Conference.
