Drury hosts UMSL in GLVC semifinals
The Drury Lady Panthers host Missouri-St. Louis in the Great Lakes Valley Conference semifinals on Saturday at noon at the O'Reilly Family Event Center.

Drury is the top seed in the tournament and is 18-1 after their 70-66 quarterfinal win on Wednesday over Indianapolis. The Lady Panthers are ranked third in NCAA-II and winners of eight straight.

Missouri-St. Louis is 12-7 and is the fifth seed on the bracket. The Tritons won their quarterfinal game, 69-67, at Lewis on Wednesday.

The winner of Saturday's game will advance to the GLVC Championship on Sunday at 1 pm and play the winner of second-seeded Truman State and the number six seed William Jewell.  TSU advanced to the semifinals slipping past Maryville 76-73. The Cardinals moved into the semifinals after Southern Indiana was unable to play in the quarterfinals due to issues with COVID-19.

Drury opened the year against UMSL, winning 84-67 on Nov. 27 in St. Louis. The two teams were scheduled to play again on Feb. 6, but the game was postponed due to positive cases of COVID-19 within the Tritons program. Drury has won 30 of the 31 meetings against Missouri-St. Louis in their all-time history.

The Panthers are seeking their fifth-straight GLVC tournament championship, the eighth GLVC title, and their 10th conference championship combing Heartland and GLVC titles.
