Top-Ranked Lady Panthers conclude three-game road trip at Truman State
The number one ranked Drury Lady Panthers play their final game of a three-game road trip on Monday at Truman State.

Drury is 18-1, 8-0 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, and is ranked number one in the latest NCAA-II coaches' poll. Monday's game is Drury's third game in five days and they enter the contest having won 14 straight.

Truman State has won seven straight games dating back to Dec. 4 and carries a 10-5 mark with a 6-1 record in the GLVC. The Bulldogs are in second place in the league's Central Division, trailing Missouri-St. Louis by one game in the loss column.

Monday's game is a homecoming for Drury head coach Amy Eagan, who was an All-American player at Truman State, coached the Bulldogs from 2013-19, and is a member of the Truman State Athletics Hall of Fame. It will be the first time she has returned to the campus since arriving at Drury in 2019.

Drury and Truman State did not play in the regular season last year but met twice in the postseason. The Lady Panthers beat Truman State in the GLVC Championship game, 76-60, at Drury on March 7, then won 66-51 a week later in the NCAA-II Tournament's second round, also played at the O'Reilly Family Event Center.

The Lady Panthers have never lost to the Bulldogs as they own an 18-0 record over Truman State in the all-time series.

About the Bulldogs
Truman State has gone 8-1 since Nov. 28 and their only loss in the GLVC was in their league opener, a 57-54 loss at home to Missouri-St. Louis. Guard Hannah Belanger leads the team in scoring, averaging 17.7 points and 4.5 assists. Ellie Weltha averages 9.9 rebounds to go with 15.6 points per game. The Bulldogs are among the best rebounding teams in the league, outrebounding opponents by 9.9 per game.

Comeback Kids
The Lady Panthers have rallied from a double-digit halftime deficit in three of their last four games. Drury was down by 13 on Saturday at Rockhurst and won 76-69. They trailed at Illinois Springfield 39-26 and came back for a 65-54 victory on Jan. 6, and they were behind at home to Lewis at the half, 40-23, only to win by 14, 75-61 on Jan. 8.

Roster Update
As of Friday, the Lady Panthers are expected to be without Paige Robinson (hand/wrist), Kate Gilbert (leg), and Kaylee DaMitz (COVID-19 protocols). Drury was without five players for their first two games of the week following the holiday break. Drury has not yet had a game postponed or canceled this season.
