Panthers open road trip at No. 18 UMSL
The Drury Panthers open a two-game road trip at 18th ranked Missouri-St. Louis on Thursday with a 7:30 pm tipoff in St. Louis.
 
Drury is 2-4 and 0-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Panthers lost their league opener on Monday 82-79 to Missouri S&T at home and are looking for their first win since Nov. 12.
 
Missouri-St. Louis has raced out to a 6-0 start and, on Monday, traveled to 17th ranked Southwest Baptist and won 70-65. The Tritons opened the year with a 70-53 win at 20th ranked Walsh on Nov. 11, then defeated Tiffin 67-54 the following day. UMSL is only allowing 57.2 points in their first six games.
 
After Thursday night's game, the Panthers travel to Maryville for a 3 pm game on Saturday. 
 
All-Time Series vs. Missouri-St. Louis
Drury is 27-12 against Missouri-St. Louis in the all-time series. UMSL won both meetings last year while the Panthers went 2-1 against the Tritons in 2020-21. Drury won 11 straight against UMSL from Jan. 16, 2013 to Jan. 9, 2020.

Drury will face a former Panther in Thursday's game as Victor Nwagbarachoa transferred to Missouri-St. Louis as a graduate student. Nwagbarachoa played two seasons for the Panthers and graduated from Drury last spring. He is averaging 8.7 points so far this season for UMSL.
