Drury concludes road trip at Indianapolis
The Drury Panthers play their final regular season road game on Saturday as they take on Indianapolis at 2 pm (Central).

Drury is 8-13, 5-8 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, and is coming off of a 78-72 loss at Lewis on Thursday. The Panthers are ranked 13th in the league's Point Rating System.

Indianapolis defeated Missouri S&T 80-50 on Thursday and enter Saturday's game 14-9 and 8-7 in the GLVC. The Greyhounds are ranked sixth in the conference overall.

The two teams have not met in two years. Drury and Indianapolis had their lone meeting scheduled for last year canceled. The last time they played one another was on Jan. 23, 2020, and UIndy claimed a 97-58 win at home. The Greyhounds have won four of the last five meetings, but Drury leads the all-time series 9-7.

About the Greyhounds
Indianapolis leads the GLVC in defense, allowing a league-best 64.7 points per game. They rank second in field goal defense, giving up a .409 percentage.

Jesse Bingham and Cory Miller, Jr. lead the team as Bingham averages 15.3 points, and Miller puts in 15.2. Miller is second in the GLVC in three-point percentage hitting a .471 clip from behind the arc.

Indianapolis is just 3-6 since Jan. 17 and will be looking to win back-to-back games on Saturday for the first time since Jan. 4 and Jan. 6.

Obi's back-to-back double-doubles
Drury forward Obi Okafor has registered double-doubles in back-to-back games, and the senior from Las Vegas has posted career-high scoring games in two straight contests.

Okafor had a career-high 19 points and added 10 rebounds last Saturday against McKendree, then topped both of those totals on Thursday at Lewis when he scored 21 points and matched a career-high with 11 rebounds.

Next Up
Drury's final week of the regular season will feature three home games. The Panthers host Maryville on Monday at 6 pm in a game originally scheduled on Jan. 27. Drury then hosts Quincy on Thursday at 7:45 pm, then concludes the regular season with Senior Day against Illinois Springfield at 3 pm at the O'Reilly Family Event Center.
