Drury starts two-game road trip at UMSL
The Drury Panthers start a two-game road trip in the St. Louis area on Friday with a 6 pm game at Missouri-St. Louis. Friday's game was originally scheduled for Thursday but was pushed back a day due to winter weather in the region.

Drury is 5-10 and 2-5 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Friday's game will be just the third contest for the Panthers since COVID-19 shut the squad down for two weeks, from Jan. 15 until Jan. 29. They have only played five games since Jan. 2. Drury last played on Monday and lost at Southwest Baptist, 70-61.

Missouri-St. Louis is 13-5, 7-4 in the GLVC, and they are tied for first place in the Central Division with Truman State. The Tritons are coming off of a 71-61 win over William Jewell on Saturday.

The Panthers lead the all-time series against UMSL 27-10 and won two of the three games last year. Drury won at Missouri-St. Louis in the GLVC Semifinals on March 6, 79-63. The two teams split the two regular season meetings, with Drury winning at home, 78-66, on Feb. 6, and the Tritons won in St. Louis, 78-73 on Jan. 12.

Junior guard Malek Davis leads the Panthers averaging 14.1 points, and the St. Louis native also averages 3.1 assists.

About the Tritons
Missouri-St. Louis went 1-1 on their road trip to Kansas City last weekend, losing to Rockhurst, 68-67, then winning at William Jewell, 71-61. The Tritons have gone 5-3 since Jan. 4.

UMSL leads the GLVC in steals averaging 9.4 per game, and their +4.2 turnover margin is also the best mark in the conference.

Marty Jackson leads the Tritons and ranks fifth in the league in scoring averaging 16.7 points. Yaakema Rose leads the GLVC in steals swiping 2.7 per game, and Trevor Moore owns the best three-point shooting percentage in the GLVC, hitting a .576 clip from behind the arc (18 for 33).
