Drury at UMSL in battle of division leaders
The Drury Lady Panthers take on Missouri-St. Louis on Friday at 4 pm in a battle of division leaders in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Friday's game was originally scheduled for Thursday but pushed back a day due to the forecast of winter weather.

Drury leads the GLVC-West with an 11-1 league record and a 21-2 mark overall. The Lady Panthers are fourth in this week's NCAA-II poll. Drury is coming off of a 71-59 win over Missouri S&T on Saturday.

Missouri-St. Louis is 14-2, 10-1 in the GLVC and they lead the Central Division. The Tritons have won four in a row, including a 68-56 win on Monday over Maryville and are receiving votes for the NCAA-II Top 25.

Drury and UMSL represent two of the three teams in the conference that have just one loss in league play. Southern Indiana, who will visit Drury next Thursday, is the league's only other one-loss team.

The Lady Panthers have won 31 of the 32 games against UMSL in the all-time series. Drury won both contests last year with an 84-67 win at Missouri-St. Louis in the 2020-21 season opener on Nov. 27, and a 75-64 victory in the GLVC Semifinals on March 5, 2021, at Drury.

Alana Findley leads Drury's active roster averaging 14.5 points and 8.1 rebounds per game.

About the Tritons
Missouri-St. Louis has only lost twice in the regular season, with both defeats coming at the hands of two of the best teams in Division II. The Tritons lost to Grand Valley State, currently ranked eighth in the country, 61-54 on Nov. 12, and they fell to Truman State, 69-62, on Jan. 20.

UMSL is the best defensive team in the GLVC by more than 10 points per game as they are allowing just 51.1 per contest. The Tritons rank second in field goal defense, surrendering a .376 percentage.

Kiara Stewart leads UMSL in scoring, averaging 13.3 points, and she ranks second in the GLVC in field goal percentage shooting .596 from the field.

The Lady Panthers will return to the court less than 24 hours after Friday's contest as they take on Lindenwood on Saturday at 1 pm in St. Charles, Missouri.

Drury returns home next week when they host Southern Indiana on Thursday for a 5:45 pm game, then will take on McKendree for Homecoming on Saturday at 1 pm at the O'Reilly Family Event Center.
