No. 9 Lady Panthers host 25th ranked Southern Indiana
The battle for the top overall seed in the Great Lakes Valley Conference features a confrontation on Thursday as the ninth-ranked Drury Lady Panthers host 25th ranked Southern Indiana at 5:45 pm in the O'Reilly Family Event Center.

Drury is 22-3, 12-2 in the GLVC, and ranked 3rd in the league's Point Rating System. The Lady Panthers lead the GLVC-West by five games over Rockhurst and Southwest Baptist. Drury went 1-1 last week, falling at Missouri-St. Louis 75-65 on Friday, then bouncing back with a 69-58 win at Lindenwood on Saturday.

Southern Indiana is 17-3 and they lead the GLVC-East with an 11-1 league record. The Screaming Eagles own the second-best Point Rating System average in the leading heading into Thursday's game and have won five straight games.

Thursday's game is the first meeting of the year between the two teams. Last year, the Lady Panthers won the lone contest with a 93-64 win in Evansville on Feb. 13. Drury has won 18 of the 22 games played in the all-time series, including the last five meetings. Southern Indiana's last win over Drury came on Feb. 4, 2017 in a 84-78 loss in Evansville. Drury has gone 8-0 against the Screaming Eagles at DU.

Paige Robinson, who has missed the last 13 games with an injury, with a 22.4 points per game average.
Alana Findley is averaging 15.2 points and 7.8 rebounds.

About the Screaming Eagles
Southern Indiana is the top-scoring team in the GLVC, having just moved past Drury in that category. The Screaming Eagles are averaging 81.3 points while the Lady Panthers are putting 79.5. Southern Indiana also averages 14.7 offensive rebounds per contest, also the top mark in the GLVC.

Hannah Haithcock leads a balanced USI scoring attack putting up 12.6 points per game, while Meredith Raley is averaging 11.9.

Drury is facing a top 25 team for the fifth time this year. The Lady Panthers are 4-0 in those games with wins over #16 Southwestern Oklahoma St., #6 Central Missouri, #18 Minnesota-Duluth, and #16 Union.

Southern Indiana has seen two teams that were nationally ranked this season. The Screaming Eagles beat sixth-ranked Ashland 63-58 on Nov. 24 in what has been Ashland's only loss this season. One of USI's three losses has come against 9th ranked Tampa, 79-71, on Dec. 19 in Las Vegas.
