Drury face UMSL for final home series of 2022; Panthers host Senior Day on Sunday

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.– The Drury Panthers play their final home series of 2022 when they host Missouri-St. Louis in a four-game series starting Friday with a 5 pm game at US Baseball Park in Ozark. The two teams play a doubleheader on at noon on Saturday, then the final game on Sunday at noon. The Panthers will honor their graduating players on Senior Day before Sunday's game.
 
Drury is 29-13, 14-6 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference and is in first place in the Green Division. The Panthers have lost four of their last five but enter the weekend with a two-game lead over four teams tied for second place in the division. Drury is 26-5 at home and 10-2 on their home field in conference play.
 
Missouri-St. Louis is one of those four teams tied for second place and enter the series 13-24 and 12-8 in the GLVC. The Tritons are 1-16 in non-conference play with their lone non-GLVC win coming against Upper Iowa on March 4. UMSL was swept in a doubleheader at home by Quincy, 17-2 and 12-7, in a non-conference series but won three of four last weekend against Rockhurst. The Tritons won six straight from April 15-23 when they won three straight against Lindenwood, then took the first games in their series against Rockhurst last weekend.
 
Drury is 34-21 all-time against UMSL and last year won three of four against the Tritons in St. Louis in a pair of separate doubleheaders.
 
The Panthers go on the road to end the regular season next weekend when they travel to William Jewell for a four-game series in Liberty, Missouri.

-- Aaron Mann is coming off of a 3 for 5 game on Wed. vs. Missouri Southern…he is tied for the GLVC in walks drawn with 40, and ranks 4th in runs scored with 55.
