Drury and Truman St. face off in showdown of GLVC's top two teams
The top two teams in the Great Lakes Valley Conference go head-to-head on Saturday as Drury (17-1, 10-0) hosts Truman State (13-5, 9-1) at 1 pm in the O'Reilly Family Event Center.

The Lady Panthers have won 13 straight and are ranked third in this week's NCAA-II coaches' poll. They enter Saturday's game with a one-game lead over Truman State in the league standings. Drury head coach Amy Eagan is in the Truman State Hall of Fame after a stellar playing career for the Bulldogs and she was 111-62 in six seasons as their head coach (2012-2019).

The Bulldogs have won five in a row and picked up an 86-63 win at Missouri S&T on Thursday.

The next game for the Lady Panthers is Thursday, Jan. 26, when they travel to Southwest Baptist for a 5:30 pm tipoff.

Familiar Faces
While Saturday's game is the first meeting between the two teams this season, Truman State and Drury share four common opponents outside the GLVC. The Bulldogs were at Drury for the Thanksgiving Classic Nov. 22-23 and with Drury in Lakeland, Florida, for the Mocs Christmas Classic Dec. 16-17. Both Drury and Truman State went 1-1 in the Thanksgiving Classic with wins over Cedarville and losses to number one ranked Ashland. The Lady Panthers went 2-0 in Florida, defeating Eckerd, currently ranked 11th, and Florida Southern, while Truman State won at Florida Southern but lost their game vs. Eckerd.

All-Time series
Drury leads the all-time series against Truman State 18-1, with the Bulldogs' only win ever against Drury coming last season in their only meeting of the year. Truman State defeated the Lady Panthers 67-66 in Kirksville on Jan. 17, 2022. Drury had won 18 straight against Truman prior to that loss and has won all 11 games in the O'Reilly Family Event Center between the two teams.
