Panthers look to build off Saturday's win as they host McKendree
Drury resumes their Great Lakes Valley Conference schedule on Thursday when they host McKendree at 7:45 pm in the O'Reilly Family Event Center.
 
The Panthers will be looking to build off of an 80-56 win over St. Mary on Saturday. Drury is 4-4 and looking for their first conference win of the game. The Panthers are 0-4 in the league, but three of their four losses in the conference were decided on the game's last possession.
 
Preston Cook is coming off a career-high 19-point game against the Spires, while Adam Moore had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Moore leads Drury in scoring, averaging 11.6 points.
 
McKendree is 6-5 with a 2-2 record in the GLVC. The Bearcats picked up a non-conference win earlier this week with a 77-54 win over Baptist Bible on Thursday at home. McKendree has won their last two games and own conference wins against Truman State and Rockhurst, with losses in the league to William Jewell and Southwest Baptist.
 
The Bearcats are led by Eric Powell II, who is averaging 15.1 points and shooting 47 percent from three-point range.
 
After Thursday's game, the Panthers are back at home on Saturday and will play the 1 pm game that afternoon when they host Indianapolis.
 
About McKendree
McKendree was founded as a Methodist college in 1828 in Lebanon, Illinois and currently has an enrollment of 2,499. They have been members of NCAA-II and the GLVC since 2012-13. Drury men's head basketball Chris Foster served as the Bearcats' head coach for three seasons from 2018-2021.

The Panthers won last year's meeting 83-76 in Springfield and have won three straight against the Bearcats.
