Brunch with the Lady Panthers as they host Missouri Baptist Thursday morning 
The Drury Lady Panthers host Missouri Baptist for a special 11 a.m. tipoff on Thursday for Hiland Dairy Kids Day a the O'Reilly Family Event Center. Drury has invited nearly 2,500 area elementary school students to Thursday's game, sponsored by Hiland Dairy.
 
Drury is off to a 2-0 start after two wins last weekend at the Pops Duncan Classic in Nashville, Tenn. The Lady Panthers opened the season and won the Drury head coaching debut of Kaci Bailey with a 78- 65 win over Kentucky Wesleyan last Friday. Saturday, Drury completed the weekend sweep with a 64-59 win over host Trevecca Nazarene.
 
Missouri Baptist, an NAIA program based in St. Louis, Mo., is off to a 1-2 start. The Spartans opened the year with a 78-56 loss to Mount Mercy on Oct. 28, then fell on the road at 18th ranked MidAmerica Nazarene, 72-66, on Nov. 3. Missouri Baptist's win came on Nov. 8 in an 88-51 win against Saint Ambrose. Tuesday, the Spartans lost an exhibition game at Southwest Baptist, 72-51.
 
Last year, Missouri Baptist went 24-6, reached the American Midwest Conference tournament championship game and advanced to the NAIA National Tournament and lost in the opening round to 18th ranked Briar Cliff, 77-65
 
After Drury's game on Thursday, the Lady Panthers are home twice next week as they host the Oasis Hotel & Convention Center Thanksgiving Classic. Drury hosts Davenport on Tuesday at 5:30 pm, then Lincoln on Wednesday at 5:30 pm.
