SPRINGFIELD, Mo.– Drury wrestlers
Caden Howard and
Will Kuster both earned wins, but the Panthers lost a pair of duals on Thursday at Weiser Gym. St. Cloud State, ranked fourth in NCAA-II, defeated Drury 46-5, then Central Missouri handed the Panthers a 47-4 loss.
In Drury's dual against fourth-ranked St. Cloud St.,
Caden Howard won his match-up at 133 pounds. The senior from Lenexa, Kansas defeated Caleb Meekins, ranked ninth national, by Technical Fall at 7:00 after building a 16-1 lead. St. Cloud St. featured five nationally ranked wrestlers, included the number one ranked Nick Novak at 157 pounds. Drury's
Will Kuster battled Novak and dropped a 5-1 decision.
Kuster came back to get a win for Drury in the Central Missouri dual. He earned a Major Decision victory defeating JD Culp 14-3.
The Panthers return to action on Saturday when they compete in the Lindenwood Open in St. Charles, Missouri.
