Lady Panthers battle Bearcats on Overflow the O' Day 
The Drury Lady Panthers renew their rivalry with Southwest Baptist on Saturday on Overflow the O' Day at the O'Reilly Family Event Center. Tipoff is at 1 pm.
 
Drury is ranked 12th in NCAA-II and enters the game with an 8-1 record and a 3-1 mark in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Lady Panthers started the week with a 72-55 win over William Jewell at home on Thursday.
 
The Lady Panthers have had double-double performances in three games. Reese Schaaf had 21 points and 11 rebounds on Nov. 30 at Lewis, then topped both marks with 27 points and 14 boards at Indianapolis last Saturday. Thursday night, Caitlynn Daniels put in 13 points and had a career-high 11 rebounds against William Jewell.
 
Southwest Baptist is 4-5 and 1-3 in the GLVC. The Bearcats have won their last two games, including a 71-50 win over Rockhurst in Bolivar on Thursday.
 
Drury leads the all-time series against SBU 15-2 and have won last seven straight games between the two teams. The Lady Panthers won at Southwest Baptist last year, 80-54.
 
The Lady Panthers will be idle next week as final exams are scheduled on the Drury campus. Their next game is Dec. 19 when they take on Missouri Southern at 6 pm in the O'Reilly Family Event Center.
 
About the Bearcats
Southwest Baptist is under first-year head coach Wykethra Harrell, who has her team off to a 4-5 start. Harrell was the associate head coach at New Orleans and served as an assistant at Kent State, Kansas City, Missouri Southern and Garden City Community College. Harrell played collegiately at Rockhurst and Missouri Southern.
 
The Bearcats are led Kailyn Stumbo, who is averaging 9.8 points and 7 rebounds per game. Southwest Baptist is out-rebounding their opponents by 10.6 boards per game and forcing 18.7 turnovers per contest.

Milestone Watch - Martin closing in on 1,000 career points
Drury guard Beth Matas Martin is closing in on 1,000 career points at the NCAA level. The graduate student from Spain enters Thursday's game with 921 points. Martin scored 782 points in two seasons at Quincy, and has 135 points this year with the Lady Panthers.
