Lady Panthers open GLVC Tournament Thursday vs. Quincy
The Drury Lady Panthers play Quincy in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament quarterfinals on Thursday at 6 pm at Hyland Arena in St. Charles, Mo.

Drury is the top seed in the tournament after going 20-0 in the league's regular season, is 27-1 overall and winners of 23 straight. The Lady Panthers also enter the tournament as the six-time defending champion and are ranked second in this week's NCAA-II poll.

Quincy is seeded eighth and is 13-15 and 9-11 in the GLVC. The Hawks are among the league's top eight teams for the first time since 2016.

The winner of Thursday's game will advance to the semifinals and play the winner on fourth-seeded Indianapolis and number five seed Missouri S&T on Saturday at 6 pm.

GLVC unbeatens
Drury's 20-0 conference season marked only the fifth time a GLVC women's team has gone undefeated in the league regular in the 39-year history of women's basketball in the conference. The Lady Panthers have accomplished the feat three other times, in 2005-06, 2018-19, and 2019-20. The 2019 and 2020 teams are the only two who have gone unbeaten in league play during the regular season and won the conference tournament in the same year.
