Drury opens four-game series vs. Southwest Baptist on Friday

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— Drury takes on local rival Southwest Baptist in a four-game series this weekend at US Baseball Park in Ozark. Game one of the series is scheduled for Friday at 5 pm. Saturday will feature a doubleheader starting at noon, and the series concludes with a game on Sunday at noon.
 
The Panthers are 16-12 and 7-5 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Drury is coming off of a 3-1 series win at Missouri S&T last weekend as they swept a doubleheader from the Miners last Saturday, then split a twin-bill on Sunday. The Panthers have gone 6-2 since March 17.
 
Southwest Baptist is 7-19 and 3-5 in the GLVC. The Bearcats lost three of four to Rockhurst last weekend and won the final game of the series.
 
Drury has gone 13-6 against Southwest Baptist since 2013 and won all four games in the series last year in Bolivar.
 
Next week, the Panthers host Pittsburg State in a non-conference game on April 4 at 5 pm at US Baseball Park, then return to conference play at Indianapolis April 6-8.
