Drury in the NCAA-II Tournament
The Lady Panthers are in the NCAA-II for the 20th time in their 23-year history. Drury has only missed the tournament twice in seasons they have been championship eligible. The Lady Panthers are 35-18 all-time in the national tournament, with five regional championships, three appearances in the national semifinals, and have two National Runner-Up finishes. Drury is 14-3 all-time in the tournament's opening round.
Â
The Lady Panthers have played seven games against teams in this year's NCAA-II Tournament field and have gone 6-1 in those games, with their only loss coming against number one ranked Ashland, 68-67 in overtime, on Nov. 23 in Springfield.
Â
30 W's
Drury's win on Sunday gave them their 30th win of the season, marking the eighth time in the program's 23-year history they have reached the 30-win mark. Not counting the COVID-shortened season in 2021 when Drury only played 26 games (and won 24 of them), this year is the sixth season in a row the Lady Panthers have won at least 30 games.
Â
Drury vs. Lewis - Round Four
Friday's game against Lewis will be the fourth meeting this season between the two teams and the third in the last 13 days. Drury has won all three games against the Flyers so far this year, including a 71-52 win on Sunday in the GLVC Championship game in St. Charles, Missouri. The Lady Panthers ended the regular season with a 76-69 win over Lewis in Springfield on Feb. 25, and won in Romeoville, Ill., 82-75 on Jan. 12.
Â
The Lady Panthers are 22-8 all-time against the Flyers and will be playing Lewis in the NCAA-II Tournament for the fourth time. Drury has won all three previous encounters on the national stage, the latest being a 63-49 win over the Flyers in the 2018 Midwest Regional semifinals in Ashland, Ohio.

For the ninth week in a row, the Drury Lady Panthers are the number two ranked team in the nation at the NCAA-II level. The top five teams in the national poll stayed the same as Ashland (31-0) remained number one, the Lady Panthers are second, and Tampa (30-1) is third. Grand Valley State (29-2), also in the Midwest Region, is ranked fifth this week. The week's poll marks the 151st consecutive week the Lady Panthers have been ranked in the top 25, the longest such streak in the nation. It is also their 89th straight week to be ranked in the top 10.
Â
GLVC Champs - for the seventh straight season
Drury won their seventh-straight Great Lakes Valley Conference championship on Sunday with a 71-52 win over Lewis. It marked the program's 12th league title with 10 GLVC championships and two crowns won in the Heartland Conference.
Â
GLVC unbeatens
Drury's 20-0 conference season marked only the fifth time a GLVC women's team has gone undefeated in the league regular in the 39-year history of the league. On Sunday, the Lady Panthers became the third team ever to go undefeated in the regular season and win the league tournament in the same year.Â
