Lady Panthers travel to Upper Iowa
The Drury Lady Panthers start a two-game road trip on Thursday at Upper Iowa. Tipoff is at 5 pm.

Drury is 11-4 with a 6-3 record in the Great Lakes Valley Conference and has won three straight. The Lady Panthers are coming off a 101-64 win over Missouri S&T on Saturday.

Upper Iowa is 7-5 and 4-4 in the GLVC. The Peacocks, playing in their first season in the GLVC, won their last game with a 69-62 win at Quincy on Saturday.

Thursday's game is the first meeting all time between the two programs.

Drury is led by
Beth Matas Martin, averaging 15.5 points. The graduate student from Spain leads the GLVC in three-point percentage (.450), and three-pointers made (3.0 pg).
Reese Schaaf leads the conference in field goal percentage (.568) and is averaging 15.1 points.
Caitlynn Daniels leads the league in assists (5.7 per game).

About Upper Iowa
The Peacocks are in their first season in the GLVC after moving from the Northern Sun Conference last year. Upper Iowa is coached by Justin Maas, who is in his second year with the Peacocks. He was previously an assistant at Division I Morehead State for the previous four seasons and guided Upper Iowa to a 10-16 mark last year.

Guard Katie Tornstrom leads the team in scoring and ranks fourth in the GLVC averaging 17.3 points. The grad student is also second in the league in three-point percentage (.417) and three's made per game (2.9).

Schaaf earns GLVC Player of the Week honors

Reese Schaaf was been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week in women's basketball for her performance in two games last week. Schaaf averaged 24 points, 15.5 rebounds, and shot 61 percent from the field last week as the Lady Panthers went 2-0. She hit 20 of her 33 shots from the field and made 8 of 9 free throw attempts.

Schaaf started the week with 19 points and 17 rebounds against Maryville on Thursday. Her 17 boards matched a season-high by any player in the GLVC this season. She followed that by scoring a career-high 29 points and pulling down 14 rebounds on Saturday against Missouri S&T. Schaaf went 12 for 15 from the field in Saturday's win over the Miners.

Drury guard
Beth Matas Martin surpassed 1,000 career points on Jan. 11 in a win at home over Maryville. Matas Martin has 1,019 points in her four-year college career. The graduate student from Spain scored 786 points in two seasons at Quincy, then transferred to Drury and has 233 this season with the Lady Panthers.
