Lady Panthers resume conference schedule at Illinois Springfield
The Drury Lady Panthers resume their Great Lakes Valley Conference schedule on Wednesday when they take on Illinois Springfield at The Recreation and Athletic Center in Springfield, Ill.
 
Drury is 8-3 and 3-2 in the GLVC. The Lady Panthers are coming off an 80-57 loss at home to Missouri Southern on New Year's Eve, which was their first game in 22 days.
 
Illinois Springfield is 5-7, 3-3 in the conference, and looking to snap a five-game losing streak. The Prairie Stars also played on New Year's Eve and fell at home to Lake Superior State, 68-56.
 
The Lady Panthers have never lost to Illinois Springfield and hold an 18-0 mark against the Prairie Stars in the all-time series. 10 of the 18 games in the all-time series have been in Springfield, Ill.
 
Drury's Beth Matas Martin leads the team, averaging 15.2 points, while sophomore Reese Schaaf puts in 13.6 points per game and averages 6.4 rebounds. Junior guard Caitlynn Daniels is coming off a career-high 29-point game on Sunday against Missouri Southern and is averaging 12.1 points and a team-high 7.3 rebounds.
 
After Drury's game on Wednesday, they return home for a 1 pm game on Saturday against Rockhurst in the O'Reilly Family Event Center.
