GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.– Drury won eight of nine contested match-ups in a 35-12 win over Davenport on Sunday in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
 
Drury improved to 2-2 and 2-0 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, while Davenport dropped to 1-3 and 0-3 in the league.
 
Thomas Massengale, wrestling in the heavyweight class, picked up a win by Fall in just 47 seconds against Raymond Van Dyke. Caden Howard won an 11-5 decision over Manuel Leija at 125 pounds, and Dillon Nichols edged Jayden Schwartz 13-10 at 149.
 
Trevor Christian earned a Technical Fall win, 15-0, over Jamarco Moore at 157 pounds, and Eric Holt won his 165-pound bout by Fall over Colin Campbell.
 
Ethan Smith won at 174 with a 16-1 Techincal Fall victory against Jahleel Rollins, and Connor Zimmermann won by Major Decision, 14-5 over Darrin Alward in the 184-pound match. Jeremiah Halter finished the dual with a 9-6 win over Crue Cooper at 184 pounds.
 
The Panthers compete again Jan. 26 in the GLVC dual at Indianapolis.
