Drury back at home to host Quincy
Drury is back on their home court on Thursday to host Quincy for a 5:45 pm in the O'Reilly Family Event Center.
 
The Lady Panthers are 13-4, 8-3 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, and have won five straight. Drury went 2-0 on the road last week with an 88-69 win at Upper Iowa on Jan. 18, then a 92-82 victory at Truman State on Saturday.
 
Quincy comes to Springfield with a 6-11 record and a 5-6 mark in the GLVC. The Hawks picked up a road win in their last game, beating Illinois Springfield 69-66 on Saturday.
 
Thursday's game is the second meeting between the two teams this year. The Lady Panthers won at Quincy 81-56 on Nov. 27 and lead the all-time series 25-9.
 
Following Thursday's game, Drury is home again when they host Illinois Springfield on Saturday at 1 pm in the O'Reilly Family Event Center.
 
300 GLVC Wins
Drury's win at Truman State on Saturday was their 300th win in the GLVC in just their 346th game in the conference. The Lady Panthers joined the GLVC in 2005-06 and enter Thursday's game with all-time record of 300-46 and a winning percentage of .867. Drury has won 16 regular season titles (13 divisional titles and three single-division crowns) and they have won the GLVC Tournament 10 times. 
 
About the Hawks
The Hawks are under first-year head coach Courtney Boyd. Boyd was the head coach at Clarke University for six seasons and went 155-42 and won last year's NAIA National Championship with a team that went 33-4.
 
Quincy leads the GLVC in blocked shots, averaging 3.8 per game and their forward, Champ Danso is the conference leader in blocks, swatting 1.6 per contest. Cyrmirah Williams leads the team in scoring, averaging 13.3 points, and she leads the GLVC in rebounding with 9.2 boards per game. Danso ranks eighth in the conference in rebounds, averaging 7.9.

Drury guard Beth Matas Martin surpassed 1,000 career points on Jan. 11 in a win at home over Maryville. Matas Martin has 1,067 points in her four-year college career. The graduate student from Spain scored 786 points in two seasons at Quincy, then transferred to Drury and has 281 this season with the Lady Panthers.
