FAYETTE, Iowa– Caden Howard and Ethan Smith picked up wins for Drury in a Great Lakes Valley Conference dual at Upper Iowa on Sunday. The Peacocks, ranked 15^th in NCAA-II, stayed unbeaten in the GLVC as they went to 6-4 and 3-0 in the league with a  44-7 win over the Panthers.
 
Howard, competing at 125 pounds, defeated Treyton Ackman by Major Decision, 15-1. The senior from Lenexa, Kansas, won for the fifth time in his last six matches.
 
Ethan Smith won by a point in a 13-12 decision in the 174-pound class. Smith, in his senior season from Buffalo, Missouri, trailed Lawson Losee 10-1 before battling back. Smith got three points in a takedown in the third period to put him ahead by a point and he hung on for the win.
 
Upper Iowa won seven of the nine contested matches to get the win.
 
Drury competes again on Feb. 9 when they host Ouachita Baptist and Newman in a tri-dual at Weiser Gym starting at 1 pm.
