WARRENSBURG, Mo. – Drury's
Trevor Christian finished third in the Elite Division of the 149-pound weight class, highlighting the Panthers day at the Kaufman Brand Bayly Open hosted by Central Missouri in Warrensburg on Sunday.
Christian, a senior from Lebanon, started his day with a win by Fall over Jonathan Roberts of Westminster in 1:35. He followed with a 13-2 Major Decision win over Derek Torzo from Central Missouri in the quarterfinals. Zeke Seltzer from Mizzou got past Christian in the semifinals with a 7-2 win; Christian closed out his day with a win in the third-place match. He pinned Alec Peralta from SIU-Edwardsville in 2:18 to place third in the event.
Jeremiah Halter won two rounds on Sunday in the Elite Division of the 174-pound class, and
Tristan Staat went 2-2 in the Amateur Division at 184 to finish fourth.
Jack Stoffel also went 2-2 in the Heavyweight class in the Amateur Division.
The Panthers compete again and open their Great Lakes Valley Conference schedule with a dual at Maryville on Dec. 8 in St. Louis, Mo.
