Lady Panthers launch 25th season at home vs. 15th ranked Ferris State
The Drury Lady Panthers begin their 25th anniversary season on Sunday afternoon against 15th ranked Ferris State with a 2:30 pm tipoff in the O'Reilly Family Event Center.

Drury head coach Kaci Bailey starts her second season leading the program after guiding the team to a 25-7 record and an NCAA-II Tournament appearance last year.

The Lady Panthers return two starters and eight letter winners from last year, including two all-conference selections. First Team All-Great Lakes Valley Conference pick Caitlynn Daniels, a grad student from Robins, Iowa, returns after averaging 15.1 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 5.3 assists. Anna Hitt, a Third Team All-GLVC pick in 2024, is back from her senior year. The Ozark, Missouri, native averaged 9.2 points and 4.6 rebounds.

Ferris State enters the weekend with a 1-1 record. The Bulldogs play Southwest Baptist on Saturday at 7 pm in the O'Reilly Family Event Center before taking on the Lady Panthers on Sunday.

Ferris State split two games in the D2CCA Tipoff Classic in St. Joseph, Missouri, last weekend. The Bulldogs opened the season with a 74-64 win over 13th ranked Pittsburg State on Nov. 2, then lost to Central Missouri 66-58 on Nov. 3.

Ranked 15th in NCAA-II, Ferris State went 26-6, won the NCAA-II Midwest Regional championship, and advanced to the national semifinals last year.

Sunday's game is only the second meeting ever between the two programs and is the first time the two teams have met in the regular season. The Lady Panthers won the earlier match-up in the NCAA-II Midwest Regional Championship on March 12, 2007, 79-69, in Romeoville, Ill.

After Sunday's game, Drury returns to action on Wednesday when they host Central Oklahoma for an 11 am tipoff on Hiland Dairy Kids Day in the O'Reilly Family Event Center.
