Lady Panthers open GLVC schedule with Highway 13 Catfight vs Southwest Baptist
The Drury Lady Panthers open their Great Lakes Valley Conference schedule on Monday in the Highway 13 Catfight against Southwest Baptist. Tipoff is at 5:30 pm in the O'Reilly Family Event Center.

Drury is 3-2 and went 1-1 in the in the Oasis Hotel & Convention Center Thanksgiving Classic last week. The Lady Panthers defeated Arkansas-Fort Smith 71-55 on Tuesday, then lost to Newman 79-73 on Wednesday.

Southwest Baptist is 3-3 and opened their conference schedule with a 102-67 win over Lincoln on Saturday. The Bearcats have won three straight entering Monday's game.

Even though it's early in the season, Drury and Southwest Baptist have three common opponents already. Both have lost to Ferris State (Drury, 81-77, and SBU lost 82-75). Drury has wins over Missouri Southern (88-84 in overtime), and Arkansas-Fort Smith (71-55), while the Bearcats lost to Missouri Southern (73-62) and to Arkansas-Fort Smith (78-57).

Drury leads the all-time series against Southwest Baptist, 16-3. The two teams split their two meetings last year, with the road team winning both. SBU won at Drury 66-65 on Dec. 9, while the Lady Panthers won at SBU 102-70 on Feb. 3.Â
