INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Will Kuster finishes the Midwest Classic in seventh place of the 165lb weight class on December 15.
 
Kuster finished day one at the Midwest Classic with a win over William Lowery from UNC – Pembroke in the fourth round of the consolation bracket.
 
Kuster opened his day against Johnson from Wisconsin – Parkside. Kuster picked up the win by decision, 7-4. Kuster grabbed another win by decision the following round against Fisher out of Newman. The two wins by decision were his first wins by decision this season.
 
Following the win over Fisher, Kuster fell in the seventh round of the consolation bracket to Hunter Jump from Central Oklahoma. Jump is ranked third in the nation in the weight class and eventually ended the tournament in fourth place.
 
Will Kuster won the seventh-place match by medical forfeit over Jakob Chisolm from Montevallo.
 
As a team Drury finished in 27^th place out of 43. After the first day, the Panthers were in 30th place. The three wins for Kuster boosted the team's position.
 
The Midwest Classic was the final meet of 2024 for the Panthers. Drury's next time on the mat will be January 4 in Wichita, at the Jet Open hosted by Newman.
