Lady Panthers conclude homestand with Truman State
The Drury Lady Panthers conclude their homestand on Saturday against Truman State with a 1 pm tipoff in the O'Reilly Family Event Center.
 
Drury is 5-2 and 2-0 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Saturday's game marks the third home game this week for the Lady Panthers, as Drury defeated Southwest Baptist 84-70 on Monday and Quincy 91-82 on Thursday.
 
Truman State is 5-5 and 2-0 in the GLVC. The Bulldogs won at Southwest Baptist 77-63 on Thursday and started their conference schedule with an 82-64 win at home over Rockhurst on Nov. 30. Truman State comes to Springfield having won three of their last four.
 
Drury is 22-1 all-time against Truman State, with their only loss against the Bulldogs coming on Jan. 17, 2022, in a 67-66 loss at Kirksville. The Lady Panthers won both games against Truman State last year, winning 92-82 at Truman on Jan. 20, and 93-68 in Springfield on March 2.
 
After Saturday's game, Drury is idle until Dec. 15, when they face number one ranked Grand Valley State in Champaign, Ill., at 4 pm.  
 
Daniels Nears 1,000 Career Points
Drury guard Caitlynn Daniels needs just five points to reach the 1,000 point total in her college career. The Robins, Iowa, native scored 291 points in two seasons at Alabama-Birmingham and has 704 points as a member of the Lady Panthers.
 
Daniels also needs just 13 assists to reach 400 in her career.
 
About the Bulldogs
 
Truman State returns to the O'Reilly Family Event Center after playing two games in the O' last week as part of Drury's Thanksgiving Classic. The Bulldogs beat Newman 80-48, then lost to Arkansas-Fort Smith 75-73.
 
Truman State is led by Molly Joyce, averaging 18.4 points, while Jordan Cunningham is putting in 16.8 points per game and leads them in rebounding with 4.9 boards per contest.
