Both Drury teams win duals at William Jewell

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— Both Drury swimming & diving teams picked up wins in duals at William Jewell on Friday and Drury divers also posted strong performances on Saturday at Kansas.
 
The Drury men's team won their dual 147-57 over William Jewell, while the women's squad beat the Cardinals 145-57.

Men's Highlights
  • Drury opened with a win in the 200 Medley Relay as Viktor Khnykin, Alvaro Zornoza, Alejandro Villarejo, and Lucas Mineur had a time of 1:38.58
  • Matheus Siniscalchi won the 800 Free with a time of 8:11.08
  • Matteo Vissotto took first in the 200 Free (1:48.79), and won 400 Free with a time of 3:56.45
  • Ivan Adamchuk picked up a win in the 100 IM with a time of 53.73, and returned to win the 100 Back (52.26)
  • Yuri Cabral swam a time of 22.40 in the 50 Free to win that event
  • Alejandro Villarejo won the 100 Fly and posted a time of 52.98
  • Lucas Mineur was first in the 100 Free (50.33)
  • The Panthers closed the dual with a win in the 200 Free Relay as Cabral, Villarejo, Josue Hernandez Tellez, and Viktor Khnykin combined for a time of 1:31.39
  • In diving competition at Kansas, Israel Zavaleta won the three-meter event with a total score of 357.60 and Carter Austin was second with 271.95
  • Zavaleta won the one-meter competition (372.75) and Austin was second (225.75)
 
 
Both Drury teams are idle from competition until Jan. 24-25 when they host Oklahoma Christian in a dual at the Breech Pool.
