Drury looks for 10th straight win on Saturday at William Jewell
Drury will look for their 10th win in a row on Saturday as they take on William Jewell at 1 pm in Liberty, Missouri.

The Lady Panthers started their road trip on Thursday with an 85-67 win at Rockhurst for their ninth straight victory. Drury is 17-4 and 12-3 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.

William Jewell is 5-17 and 3-13 in the GLVC. The Cardinals are coming off a 100-71 loss at home to Southwest Baptist on Thursday and will be looking to break a four-game losing streak. William Jewell has wins over Upper Iowa (90-60 on Jan. 25), Southwest Baptist (68-61 on Jan. 3), and UMSL (77-67 on Nov. 30).

Reese Schaaf enters Saturday's game with a double-double in four straight games and in eight of her last nine contests. The sophomore from El Dorado Springs is averaging 17 points and nine rebounds for the season and is shooting .584 from the field.

Drury won the earlier meeting this season 72-55 on Dec. 7 in Springfield. The Lady Panthers have won 16 straight against William Jewell and lead the all-time series 21-3.

William Jewell is led by new head coach Kyley Bachand, the program's first new head coach in 27 years. Bachand was previously an assistant at Colorado State, Eastern Illinois, and Sioux Falls. She played collegiately at Mizzou and Illinois.

Beth Matas Martin surpassed 1,000 career points on Jan. 11 in a win at home over Maryville. Matas Martin has 1,123 points in her four-year college career. The graduate student from Spain scored 786 points in two seasons at Quincy, then transferred to Drury and has 339 this season with the Lady Panthers.
