SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— Augustana rallied to win game one, then shut out Drury game two to sweep the Panthers are Saturday at Mark Worley Field at Meador Park.
 
In game one, the Vikings scored two runs in the top of the eighth to take a 5-4, then tacked on an insurance run in the ninth. Max Mosser hit an RBI single in the eighth to tie the game at 4-4 in the eighth, then Jason Axelberg gave Augustana the lead with an RBI hit.
 
Drury DH 
Kellen Williamson drove in three runs as he went 2 for 4 with a double.
 
Panthers starter 
Cody Bahl struck out nine batters over 7.2 innings and allowed 10 hits with 5 runs and fell to 1-1.
 
Augustana pitching held Drury to two hits in a 5-0 shutout in game two. Vikings starter Ashton Michek (2-0) went six innings surrending just four hits with no runs, four walks and eight strikeouts.
 
Wes Laaker (0-2) worked all seven innings for the Panthers and struck out seven in the loss.
 
Luke Ballweg went 2 for 3 with a run for Augustana.
 
Before the game, Drury hosted a ribbon-cutting and dedication ceremony with the city of Springfield and the Springfield-Greene County Park Board for the newly renovated Mark Worley Field at Meador Park. The Panthers moved into their original ballpark this season after an eight year absence. The program raised $1.75 million to make stadium improvements that included new turf, a new outfield wall, a new sound system, improvements to the press box and other amenities.
