SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— Drury defeated Illinois Springfield 15-3 on Sunday in the final game of their four-game series at Mark Worley Field.

Drury moved their record to 20-15 and 18-6 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, while Illinois Springfield went to 20-17 and 11-13 in the GLVC.

The Panthers opened with a three run first inning, scoring two of the runs on a
Tyler Bastunas double to left field. Bastunas would drive in another run in the second inning and
Brandon Holdren was hit by a pitch, which allowed
Max Elmer to score and give the Panthers a 5-0 lead after two innings of play.Â
The Prairie Stars were able to score two runs in the fourth inning to make it a 5-2 ballgame, before the Panthers lineup responded dramatically with a ten run fifth inning, which included seven hits. Drury would close out the game in seven innings and grab their third win of the four-game series.
Wesley Laaker (4-4) got the win for the Panthers and Adam Lindsey (1-4) got the loss for Illinois Springfield.

The Panthers will be back in action on Tuesday when they travel to Joplin to take on Missouri Southern at 6 pm.
