Panthers face William Jewell in first round of the GLVC Tournament
The number three seeded Drury Panthers face off against the sixth-seeded William Jewell Cardinals on Wednesday at Mountain Dew Park in Marion, Illinois in the first round of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament.
 
Drury is 26-23 and went 23-13 in the GLVC. The Cardinals are 30-20 and finished 20-16 in the conference.
 
Wednesday's game is the first meeting this season between the two teams. Last season, the Panthers took the season series 4-1 winning three of the four in the regular season and taking a GLVC Tournament match-up 12-4. 
 
The winner of this matchup will face the winner of #2 Maryville and #7 Rockhurst at 4:00 pm on Thursday May 9^th. The loser faces the loser of the aforementioned matchup at 9:00 am on  Thursday.
Last year, the Panthers advanced to the GLVC Tournament championship game where they fell to Quincy. Drury is 26-15 all-time in the conference postseason and has won the league title three times.
