Panthers conclude road trip at 17th ranked Missouri S&T
Drury plays the final game of a five-game road stretch as they travel to 17th ranked Missouri S&T on Saturday for a 3 pm game in Rolla.

The Panthers are 6-7 and 1-5 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Drury lost at Lincoln, 65-63, on Thursday.

Missouri S&T is 10-1 and 4-0 in the GLVC. The Miners are the only team in the GLVC without a conference loss and have not played since Jan. 3, when they won at Truman State, 72-69. Their scheduled game against William Jewell on Sunday was postponed, and the Miners were idle on Thursday.

Drury leads the all-time series against Missouri S&T 43-13 (on the court), but the Miners have won six of the last eight meetings. The Panthers have lost four straight in Rolla and will be looking for their first win at Missouri S&T since Jan. 18, 2020, when they won 81-62.

After Saturday's game, Drury will be at home for the first time in a month when they host McKendree for a 7:45 pm game in the O'Reilly Family Event Center on Thur., Jan. 16.

Applegate cracks Drury's top 50 all-time scorers
Drury guard Logan Applegate entered Drury's top 50 all-time scorers in Thursday's game at Lincoln. Applegate scored 23 points on Thursday, raising his career point total to 917. The junior from Nevada, Missouri, moved past Lawrence Washington's (1977-79) total of 905 and Logan Bond's (1997-2000) 907 points on Drury's all-time scoring list.

Applegate is 11 points away from passing Bruce Robbins (1980-82) for 48th on the all-time scoring chart and he needs 83 more points to reach 1,000 in his career.

About the Miners
Missouri S&T is 10-1, and their 4-0 league record marks their best conference start since they joined the GLVC. The only loss for the Miners came on Dec. 19 against St. Mary's (Tex.) in a 65-52 loss in Las Vegas. S&T followed that loss with an 89-78 win the next day against third-ranked West Liberty.

The Miners lead the GLVC in scoring, averaging 88 points per game, and they are third in defense, giving up just 67.3 points for a scoring margin of +20.7 per game. They rank first in field goal percentage (.504) and second in field goal defense (.402).
