Panthers look to build off Thursday win as they host Maryville on Saturday
The Drury Panthers are home again on Saturday as they host Maryville for a 3 pm game in the O'Reilly Family Event Center.

Fans who bring a teddy bear to stuffed toy Saturday's game will also receive a free ticket voucher to a future Drury basketball game this season. The teddy bears will be thrown onto the court at halftime and then donated to the Dee Ann White Women's and Children's Hospital for use as comfort toys for those receiving treatment at the facility.

Drury is looking to build off their Thursday night win over McKendree, 84-70. The victory brought their record to 7-8 and 2-6 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Thursday's game was Drury's first home contest since Dec. 16 and the win raised the Panthers record to 6-3 on their home court.

Maryville is 7-10 and 3-6 in the GLVC. The Saints lost at 15th ranked Missouri S&T, 88-78, on Saturday.

Drury is 22-5 all-time against Maryville (on the court) and won both meetings against the Saints last year. The Panthers won 71-62 at home against Maryville on Jan. 11, 2024, as Logan Applegate poured in 29 points. Drury won the second game between the two clubs, taking a 70-60 contest at Maryville on Feb. 24 in a game the Panthers led 41-21 at halftime.

After Saturday's game, the conference schedule sends Drury back on the road as they head to Indianapolis for a Thursday game that starts at 6:30 pm (CST).

Applegate among Drury's top 50 all-time scorers
Drury guard Logan Applegate moved into Drury's top 50 all-time scorers last week and will enter Saturday's game ranked 48th on the scoring chart with 934 career points. On Thursday, Applegate had 7 points and passed Bruce Robbins (1980-82) among Drury's all-time leading scorers. He needs five points to pass Jerry Byrd (1961-65) for 47th on the all-time list.

About the Saints

Ingram had been the head coach at Missouri Baptist, where he went 94-52 in five seasons before heading to Maryville.
