Drury hosts two top 25 teams for alumni weekend
Drury welcomes fifth-ranked Central Oklahoma and 23rd-ranked Indianapolis to Weiser this weekend for alumni weekend.

The Panthers are coming off a 2-1 weekend at the Jet Duals where they took down, host, Newman and Ouachita Baptist. Will Kuster dropped in the 165 rankings to the 14th spot after being ranked tenth for December. Kuster will most likely match up with the current tenth-ranked wrestler, Hunter Jump. Kuster and Jump have already met once this season. Jump took the win by fall in the Midwest Classic. Against Indianapolis, Kuster is projected to match up with Shane Bates. Kuster and Bates have yet to match up in their careers.

The defending NCAA-II champions, Central Oklahoma, come to Springfield on Friday. The Bronchos are currently ranked fifth in the nation with eight individuals ranked inside the top 15 of their respective weight classes. UCO's highest-ranked wrestler is Studd Morris. Morris is ranked at the top of the 125-weight class. Morris wrestled in the Drury Open earlier this season and won his bracket, however, he avoided any Drury player. He is set to match up with Bryson Humphries, the two of them have yet to dual in their careers.

Indianapolis will visit Weiser on Saturday night for a Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) dual. The Greyhounds are currently ranked 23rd in the nation and led by the top-ranked 197 wrestler, Derek Blubaugh. Blubaugh has only wrestled in ten matches this season but has won all of them. Out of the ten wins he has this season, three of them have come against currently ranked top 15 wrestlers. Wade Stanton is projected to match up with Blubaugh on Saturday. Stanton wrestled for the first time this season in the Jet Duals and went 2-1. The two have not matched up before.

Following this weekend, Drury will hit the road to wrestle against Quincy (January 31) and number seven McKendree (February 1) in GLVC duals.
