Lady Panthers continue road trip at Illinois Springfield
Drury travels to Illinois Springfield on Saturday for the second half of their two-game road trip. Tipoff is at 1 pm in the Recreation & Athletics Center.

The Lady Panthers are 13-4, 9-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference and in first place in the league standings, holding a half-game lead over Lewis. Drury is coming off a two-point win on Thursday at Indianapolis, 58-56.Â

Illinois Springfield is 4-14 and 3-7 in the GLVC. The Prairie Stars won on Thursday with a 63-56 victory over Missouri S&T at home. After starting the year 0-11, Illinois Springfield has gone 4-3. The Prairie Stars are tied for 11th in the conference standings.

The Lady Panthers are 19-1 in the all-time series against the Prairie Stars. The two teams split the season series last year with the home team winning both games. UIS won at home with an 88-79 win over Drury on Jan. 3, 2024, and the Lady Panthers took the contest at the O', 80-68, on Jan. 27, 2024. Drury's loss at Illinois Springfield snapped their 18-game winning streak against the Prairie Stars. Â

Drury returns for their next game as they return to the O'Reilly Family Event Center on Thursday to host Upper Iowa for a 5:45 pm tipoff.

Daniels and Hitt climbing career charts

Caitlynn Daniels is moving up Drury's all-time chart for assists. The graduate student from Robins, Iowa, enters Saturday's game ranked eighth in assists at Drury with 341. She needs just four more to pass Paige Robinson (2018-22) for seventh on the all-time list. Daniels has 465 assists in her career, adding to her totals from two years at Alabama-Birmingham.

Anna Hitt needs just three rebounds to crack the program's top 20 in career boards. Hitt comes into Saturday's game with 388 rebounds in her career and, with three more, will pass Sarah Bos (2006-09) for 20th all-time. Hitt also needs just four to pass Hope Hunt (2000-04) for 19th on Drury's all-time rebounding list.
