WITCHA, Kan. – The Drury Wrestling team sent 15 wrestlers to the Jet Open hosted by Newman on January 4. Joe Kuster took home first place in the 157lb division with seven other Panthers placing in the top four.
 
Drury swept the top three in the 157lb division with Joe Kuster taking home the gold. Draven Wright finished in second place and Trevor Christian rounded out the top three.
 
Bryson Humphries, Will Kuster, and Tristan Staat all finished in second place in their respective weight classes. Humphries went 2-1 on the day with both wins by major decision. Kuster went 3-1 with a win by decision and two by tech falls. Staat finished the day 2-1 with his wins coming by major decision.
 
Jeremiah Halter finished in third in the 174 division. Gaven Bremenkamp placed fourth in 165 to round out the Panther placers.
 
The Panthers return to the mat on January 10 at Missouri Baptist for a dual against the Spartans.
