SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Drury wrestling opens its 2025-26 season with an intrasquad dual on Thursday, Oct. 30, followed by three matches at the Missouri Duals on Sunday, Nov. 2.

Drury will showcase its top returners and new firepower in the Scarlet and Gray Intrasquad Dual on Thursday. Jeremiah Halter returns for the Panthers at 174 pounds. The redshirt junior went 19-20 last season and reached the NCAA-II National Championship preliminary rounds. Halter placed third at both the NCAA-II Super Regional IV and the Jet Open.

The GLVC Freshman of the Year, Bryson Humphries, returns for his sophomore season campaign after going 25-10 at 125 pounds. As a freshman, he won the Amateur Division at the Falcon Invite, placed second at the Jet Open, and sixth at the NCAA-II Super Regional IV. Humphries ranks second in school history for major decisions in a season (8) and fourth for wins in a season (25).

Cole Robertson joins the Panthers after previously competing at Ohio State. Last season, Robertson wrestled at 197 pounds and went 5-13 across four Opens. True freshman Garrett Salt joins the squad after an impressive high school career. Competing at 141 pounds, Salt was a two-time regional champion and three-time state finalist.

Drury begins its season at the Missouri Duals on Sunday. The first matchup is against Missouri at noon. Sunday's duel marks the first time the Panthers have dueled the Tigers. Missouri placed eighth at last year's Big 12 Championships and 14th at the NCAA-I National Championships.

The Panthers will then face Missouri Valley at 1:30 p.m. The Vikings are also a new opponent for the Panthers. Missouri Valley competes in the NAIA's Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) and finished 15th at last season's NAIA National Championships. The Vikings are ranked third in the HAAC in the preseason poll.

Drury wraps up the day against Central Missouri at 3 p.m. The Panthers and Mules have met five times previously. Drury is 2-3 against Central Missouri and hasn't won in a dual against them since 2019. In last year's meeting, the Mules topped the Panthers 47-4. Central Missouri is coming off its best finish at the NCAA-II National Championships, placing seventh with 43 points and one individual national champion.
