SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Drury wrestling hosted its eighth annual Drury Open on Saturday, competing against more than 200 athletes from 13 programs across the region.
The Panthers were led by Freshman Mason Knight, who won a 9-6 decision in sudden victory to claim the 149-pound title. Bryson Humphries earned a runner-up finish in the 125-pound bracket.
Gaven Bremenkamp narrowly dropped his championship bout at 165 pounds, falling 5-3 to place second. Drury added two more podium finishes as Jeremiah Halter and Brady Griffin each finished second at 174 pounds and 285 pounds, respectively.
