SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Drury wrestling fell to No. 11 McKendree, 28-14, before rallying to defeat Neosho County, 44-10, to earn the first dual win of the season. 
 
The Panthers opened the day against No. 11 McKendree in their first Great Lakes Valley Conference matchup of the season. Bryson Humphries opened the dual with an 8-0 major decision, and freshman Mason Knight added six points with a 10-2 major decision.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• Bryson Humphries won the first dual at 125 pounds, 8-0. 
• Dylan Roth and Nate Wishne lost 9-8 and 5-3 by decision.
• Mason Knight earned a 10-2 major decision at 149 pounds.
• Drury received a forfeit at 184. 

 
Drury responded with a dominant performance against Neosho County, producing four falls and two technical falls to earn a 44-10 victory.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• Bryson Humphries opened the dual with a 9-1 major decision.
• Dylan Roth took the 133-pound win with a 16-0 technical fall at 5:46. 
• Nate Wishne and Mason Knight both win by fall to earn six team points each.
• Gaven Bremenkamp bounced back with a win by fall at 4:01.
• Jeremiah Halter dominated in the 174 matchups, earning a 21-6 technical fall at 2:49.
• Neosho County forfeited the 197-pound matchup.
• Brady Griffin closed the dual with a fall in just 18 seconds.
