Drury hosts William Jewell for Homecoming
Drury plays the second game of their two-game homestand on Saturday, hosting William Jewell for Homecoming on the DU campus. Tipoff is at 1 pm in the O'Reilly Family Event Center.

The Lady Panthers are 17-6 and 13-3 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Drury one their first game of this week's homestand with a 73-46 victory over Rockhurst.

William Jewell is 5-16 and 3-12 in the GLVC. The Cardinals lost at Missouri S&T on Thursday, 71-64, and have dropped four straight.

Saturday's game is a rematch of a game from Jan. 3 at William Jewell, won by Drury 88-55. Drury led 40-27 at halftime and shot 52 percent from the field in the game, hitting 34 of 66 shots, including 7 of 13 threes.
Caitlynn Daniels had 16 points, nine assists and four steals for Drury, while
Rhi Gibbons added 14 points. Kate Hillyer led William Jewell with 18 points.

Drury leads the all-time series against the Cardinals 23-3 and has won 18 straight against William Jewell.

Part of Saturday's Homecoming includes a reunion of Drury's original women's basketball team from the 2000-01 season and former players and coaches from the first seven years of the program. The Lady Panthers are celebrating their 25th season in 2024-25.

After Saturday's game, Drury is idle until next Feb. 22, when they return to the court at Southwest Baptist for a 1 pm game in Bolivar.

From highs to lows
The Lady Panthers went from allowing a season-high 104 points to Quincy (in double-overtime) on Feb. 8 to surrending a season-low 46 points against Rockhurst on Thursday. The Lady Panthers also held Rockhurst to 21 percent shooting (15 for 70) and outrebounded them 58-36.Â

About the Cardinals
William Jewell is one of the better teams in the GLVC in three-point shooting as they rank third in threes made (7.8 per game), and they are fifth in three-point percentage (.318).

The Cardinals also commit the second-fewest turnovers in the GLVC, averaging just 13.2 per game.
