Drury to square off will Maryville in the 1^st round of the GLVC bracket
The Panthers will head to Lebanon, Illinois, to face off against Maryville in the first round of the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) tournament on Sunday.
 
Last weekend, Drury fell to the top seed in the GLVC, Upper Iowa, 39-6. Drury got two wins by decision in the dual from Bryson Humphries, 125, and Will Kuster, 165. In the 11 duals that the Panthers have head this season, Kuster is 10-1 and ranks 14^th in the nation for his class. His lone lost coming to Jace Fisher of Newman who is currently ranked 10^th. Kuster finished the regular season leading the nation in technical falls with nine. Kuster is projected to face off with Nick Baer of Maryville. Baer and Kuster did not matchup in the two teams regular season meeting. Kuster wrestled against Evan Morris and won by major decision, 20-8.
 
The fourth seed in the tournament, Maryville, is coming off two dual wins against Kentucky Wesleyan and #6 Grand Valley State. The Saints currently rank 24 in division two with two guys individually ranked. In the 285 class, Ryan Herman ranks second. Herman will wrestle Jack Stoffel. The two met up in the team's regular season dual with Herman getting the best of Stoffel by fall.
 
The winner of the first-round matchup will advance to the semifinals to against top-seeded Upper Iowa. The loser will wrestle in the fifth place dual against the loser of the Indianapolis and Quincy dual.
 
Following this weekend, Drury will send individuals to the super regional in Warrensburg on March 1.
